We live in a wild world, I know, but the outside world doesn’t have to control your state of mind. When the craziness outside starts crawling inside your head or starts affecting your health then it’s time to do something about stress. Sometimes our brain seems to have a mind of its own, fixating on something worrisome or just so busy that it affects our daily life or robs us of sleep.

There are so many holistic practices that you can easily learn to avoid and release stresses of our world. Learning these de-stressing skills can make a huge difference in your quality of life, how effective you are in your work and how open you feel to fun and happiness. Meditation has made a huge change in my life. Meditation doesn’t always mean sitting cross-legged on a cushion. There are so many practices: breathing, affirming self talk, positive visualization, mindfulness, getting out in nature, staying in the moment and more. All simple practices that reduce stress and support calm clarity.

The benefits of becoming a new, more chill you aren’t “all in your head” either. There is tons of research verifying the effect that meditation has on our health. Many of the serious health challenges have a connection to our stress levels. If you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, digestive problems, headaches, heart disease, sleep problems, weight gain, memory and concentration impairment then you might want to consider learning more about stress reduction.

Life is about being happy, having fun and being all you can be. If you’re not feeling that, consider adding meditation to your skill set and perhaps you can find your way back to the real you. I teach, write, speak about meditation, wellness and stress reduction in businesses, schools, retreats, conferences, in person and online.

Check out my blog, my sort of  journal of the last seven years of teaching and learning. Take a look at available classes and groups currently meeting. My plan is to add guided meditations soon with online classes to follow. Subscribe and I’ll keep you up to date without bugging you too often.
